[meta] - The film page now has a slew of Best-Of lists, and online archives linked. (bottom right)

Fresh bookmarks up (for those keeping track), and now kept under the '~web' dropdown on the homepage/portal/exit. also gmail/hotmail/yahoomail links.

I fudged together an rss feed. However i dont use rss, so could someone who regularly does tell me whether it displays clearly/normally in their feedreader of choice? thanks.

I threw together a brief page, explaining how i installed winamp (current version) so that it doesnt track my habits and otherwise invade my privacy, and to make the installation quite a bit smaller. Just a few screenshots showing what to switch off. Someone might find useful.

[meta] - fresh set of bookmarks up, linked on the exit page. i keep the first tier open for browsing/adding ease. (sidebar pops out automatically using the mozilla optimoz tweaks extension)

[portals] - i've been enjoying tinkering and poking at my own browser startup/homepage (home - exit) for a while now. popup lists and integrated bookmarks and a few subpages get me everything from obscure pedantry and internet radio to a deluge of art and distracting web-games. here are a few more portals: cardhouse links, jjg portal, misterStartpants, metascene links, robot wisdom startpage template, and rebacca's portal.
creating your own homepage (steal our code to start) is also a great way to begin playing with html. mix and hack.

[meta] - and my full bookmarks on the exit page are updated. served in a sidebar, or raw (bottom right)

[bookmarks] - I've been trying to get a public friendly and accessible, easily updatable, copy of my personal bookmark file (op6 unfriendly) and think i may have found the thing with Treeview's free online demo of Favourites Manager, with which you import your bookmarks.html directly, copy and paste once, download the source files and are done. Thoroughly intriguing stuff for codemonkeys and ontology geeks alike.

updated the exit page a little. essentially my browser homepage. i find the music search engines particularly useful for finding interesting reviews of interesting things.

well, the archives seem to be mostly working, and any more progress is going to require alteration of my SSI hacked together setup, so it's what we're stuck with.

well, version 2 seems to be up and working. tell me if you like it.
